Anatolian Weapons, the project of Aggelos Baltas (Dream Weapons, Fantastikoi Hxoi), makes its Beats In Space Records debut with To The Mother Of Gods. A hypnotic journey through the psychedelic folk music of Seirios Savvaidis, To The Mother Of Gods testifies that music, through repetition and drone, can take us outside ourselves to a liminal space beyond thought and rationality. LP comes with high-quality digital download.

Without doubt one of the most exciting bands currently playing in the UK. Saw them live at the Southbank and they were amazing - you could see and hear the utter delicacy of their improvisational approach; it nearly fell apart once or twice but they kept the jam going with supreme skill. It's that ability to sit on the knife-edge in front of 200-odd people, that really sets them apart. And Dawn Lit Metropolis isn't so much a song title as a gospel. The T-shirt is fantastic too. albo
The sophomore solo effort from Hiss Golden Messenger bassist Scott Hirsch offers a fresh batch of songs that kick back to classic country, tempered with a satisfying dose of psychedelia. Bandcamp Album of the Day Dec 7, 2018
